Our Team

North Toronto Cat Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run organization fueled by a shared passion for animal welfare. What began over 40 years ago as a personal mission by our founder, Donna, has grown into a dedicated community of “MusCATeers” working tirelessly to give every cat a second chance at life.

For decades, our leadership and core team — including Brenda, who has managed operations alongside Donna for over 15 years — have poured their hearts into the daily realities of rescue. From medical coordination and volunteer training to social outreach and the simple, vital act of ensuring every cat feels loved, our work is a true labor of love.

Every person you meet at NTCR is a volunteer. We balance these responsibilities alongside our own jobs and families because we believe every rescue deserves the best possible chance to thrive. We aren’t just a shelter; we are a family of supporters and caregivers working together to provide a fresh start the moment a cat walks through our doors.

Thank you to all our volunteers!
